Born and raised in southern New Hampshire, Audra now resides in Amherst, NH with her husband, two sons, and her dog and cat.  She has always had an interest in drawing and painting since she was a child. She also knew that she wanted to teach some day. She decided to find her own voice and better her art techniques first, by getting a Bachelors of Fine Arts in drawing and painting from Rivier University, before pursuing teaching.  Her desire to teach art grew and she went back to Rivier to get a Masters Degree in Education with teaching certification to teach art.  Audra is now finishing up her 19th year teaching art and is still continuing teaching art for more years to come.

Her art is a continuous dialogue with the natural world, a profound source of inspiration that informs her creative process and thematic exploration. Nature, in all its intricate beauty and raw power, serves as both her muse and collaborator, guiding her towards deeper understanding and expression.

She is captivated by the delicate balance of ecosystems, the transient beauty of changing seasons, and the interplay of light and shadow in natural landscapes.  Her work aims to capture these ephemeral moments, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the intricate details and vastness of the natural environment.  Her paintings have bold colors and sharp edges because that is how she sees the world as pieces of color connected together. Through her work, she seeks to unravel the profound interconnectedness that exists between women and nature, celebrating their mutual resilience, nurturing spirit, and boundless creativity.

New England Art Reach offers a service to hospitals to have rotating art work from New England artists on display. This wonderful opportunity supports local artists and adds beauty for all to experience while walking along the hallways and public areas.

Typical rotations are every three to six months. All art work is for sale and Art Reach handles all transactions between buyers and the artists. 20% of all sales go back to the hospital. Fees for these services are contingent upon the size of the venue and the number of rotations.
