Lynn Ericson

PAINTER • DESIGNER • ANIMAL LOVER • COLOR FANATIC

Lynn’s artistic career started when she won an art contest at the age of ten. The painting of her beagle, Kimmy, was judged the most popular in the city-wide art festival in Portland, Maine, where she grew up. She then won a New England Regional Art Contest—for painting with Q-tips. She felt like Claude Monet. After getting an MFA in Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, she came back to Portland and opened a graphic design studio. For over 25 years, as Ericson Mitchell Creative, she had an interesting diversity of clients, loved the work and won awards. In 2017 she decided to paint almost daily and show her work. She now happily immerses herself in color and looks forward to where this path takes her. She now lives in an old farmhouse in Hollis, Maine, with a crowded studio, a lot of books and a menagerie of rescue critters.

New England Art Reach offers a service to hospitals to have rotating art work from New England artists on display. This wonderful opportunity supports local artists and adds beauty for all to experience while walking along the hallways and public areas.

Typical rotations are every three to six months. All art work is for sale and Art Reach handles all transactions between buyers and the artists. 20% of all sales go back to the hospital. Fees for these services are contingent upon the size of the venue and the number of rotations.
